Any good tips on how to crash a party?

I have decided to crash parties in the upcoming winter holiday season.

I have only crashed one party in my life (I got away with it, and it was fun). Any tips on: Picking the party, dressing, what to say to people conversationally, how to avoid getting caught, what to say or do if caught, how to generally socialize as if you were an invited guest.

Oh, this is a tough one, without knowing the geographical location (knowing what kinds of parties to crash based upon types happening in the region).

@GwydionFrost Maybe I should have mentioned that I am living in a small town in the California desert about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. I rent a room in a house in a wealthy neighborhood. There are several other towns and cities nearby; Riverside, California, Ontario, CA and San Bernardino are the nearby cities, Claremont (a college town) is nearby, also Montclair, LaVerne and Chino. About half the people in this general are Spanish speaking, and are from Mexico. I am a blonde with blue eyes, and I don't speak much Spanish so that eliminates about half the parties.

I am a retired school teacher who spent many years teaching juvenile delinquents in LA's downtown juvenile detention facility. I also worked at the state mental hospital for ten years teaching adolescents and adults. I taught English, creative writing and Horticulture.

So, crashing award parties geared towards "teacher of the year" kind of soiree...? Or are you seeking a real, honest to good, let your hair down, 3 kegger...?

@GwydionFrost Good suggestion. I'll start trying to find teacher organizations that throw parties or have events. I am hoping to attend several different kinds of parties. For a kegger, I'd go to Claremont, where all the students are.
