Somewhere...I ticked off someone and this was punishment...

On a serious note...I process orders for 750 stores out of 4 warehouses for a major retailer. Plus a million other tasks...

Structural Engineer - Even as a little kid, I was always building things and was fascinated by construction. My dad was an engineer, my step-dad was a contractor. So I was also surrounded by people who designed and built things.

I’ve been doing this work for over 38 years. I’ve designed almost any kind of structure you can think of, here and abroad. I still get a kick out of driving past buildings where I live that I designed. The architects may have made them pretty, but I made them stand up…they have endured….given people a place to live and work. It’s something real and tangible.

I'm in construction. I was an engineer in the electronics industry for over a decade when sudden changes in the economy forced me to ask myself what I wanted to be when I grew up. I got into the trades, and found I never wanted to go back to a desk.

@IronHamster Good for you 🙂

A wise decision. Btw did you work with printed circuit boards by any chance? Worked as quality engineer in the past and PCBs were one of my commodities.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@PatKirby Lots of them. I was in product development and design, then moved to a contract assembly house. Good times. It was all lucrative until it wasn't.

I am retired, but I was an engineering consultant to NASA and the Air Force. I got into it by accident when I overheard someone at church talking about a subject I knew something about. I asked a question, and he sked if I knew anything about it. I did, so he offered me a job.
